Overland & Adventure Travel Bike Day

Was gonna attend but got called out to a customer with a chiller offline. Double bubble on a Sunday so not all bad.

Richard, sorry I missed you. Don't know what time you got there but I left @ 11:15.
I'll bring the ZX1 to the April camp if you want?

Hey Joe,

No worries mate, I'm not in a hurry so if you take the ZX1 to the Warren Farm Camp that fine with me. :thumb2

This morning, despite getting up at 0600hrs, we didn't leave until 0855hrs - The wife's Multistrada 1000DS wouldn't turn over / fire up. The Datatool System 3 Alarm operated as it should and the new battery had 13.5 volts.
When turning on the ignition the fuel system seem to pressurise as normal and both front and rear lights lit as normal but the LCD display didn't illuminate at all!! Perhaps a fuse or something else.

The wife rode her Pegaso 650 (Rotax) instead, good job she has another bike.

After a fuel stop we eventually arrived at 1105hrs and parked at the end of the Ace Cafe near the mini-roundabout but by the time we faffed around putting 4 helmets and 4 pairs of gloves away it was about 1120hrs when we joined the queue for food. :fnikefork
Sorry mate, we must have just missed you, I had my son moaning that he was hungry and cold most of the journey over the Scala Rider Q2 Multiset - We did spot the McDonalds restaurants on the way.

Had a good day, we bought the boys a breakfast and Ace Cafe Hoodies to keep them warmer on our return home. :blast

Had a good chat with the SkyGod but didn't see any other familiar faces.

See you at Pauly's Partay. :beerjug:

Had a nice bacon sandwich at the the OD and an orderly ride to the Ace expertly led by Dave. I bought a couple of books at the Ace to get me in the adventure mood for Morocco (and a cup of tea) and then rode back with Lee on a sight seeing tour of central London. Regents Part, The Mall, Parliament Square and Tower Bridge. Perfect day for it as long as you had enough base layers on.

Sorry you missed it, Keith.

With all those conditions you mention above, the picture you paint is a typical novice error. :blast :D

Glad you and yer bike are ok mate, :thumb2
It could've been a lot worse if your accident happened later in the day when there is more traffic on the roads. :rob
