Oxford HotGrips - controller gone

Hi, I have these fitted to my FZ6s and the controller has gone haywire. I just wondered if anyone ever fitted them with an on/off switch bypassing the whole controller idea.

Just a thought. Otherwise I will need to by another controller at £20. Stupid me didn't keep the receipt and naturally they are about 11 months old. And i didn't register them either.

Hi, I dont think the new "hitech" switch is much cop. Went on my wife's bike.
Is it the one that monitors a low battery condition ?
Wire it through an standard waterproof rocker switch (Maplin) use a relay, I pick up old Toyota relays when I visit a scrap yard.
Pick up a power feed on the ignition side and you are sorted.
