[Where to post ? I'm travelling through a number of 'areas' today from Oxford down to Salcombe so not sure correct place to post this quick question....]

Ok - so this morning I'm travelling from Oxford way to Salcombe in Devon. Looking at the map - its A34, A303, M5, A38.......looks a bit boring.....

Any suggestions to break up the journey ? I dont want to spend all day getting down there (weather is looking a bit pants) but wouldnt mind something slightly more interesting (and easy to find).

Thoughts ?

If anyones interested - the trip was great, far nicer than banging down the M4 and M5. Best bit was between Salisbury and Lyme Regis via Dorchester - having so much fun I put off filling up.....er....then the computer got down to zero......and I did 8 more miles before finding a petrol station, filled up with 35.7 litres of fuel........on fumes then !
