Such a shame because I love the bike and haven't seen another bike I would rather have.

I'm a very small fish in a large pond and me buying or not buying a new bike is insignificant but if they piss off hundreds of people like me and we stop buying new bikes perhaps one day they will have to start taking notice.

If I hadn't looked after the bike I could accept it but it's not the case.

If it were me I’d write to the CEO of BMW GB. I did about noisy suspension on my five series. If they don’t respond then I’d find out who the group CEO is in Germany and write to them.

I did this with KTM and it did the trick.

Unfortunately that doesn't work for BMW - the mail will simply get bounced back to UK Customers Services via Munich. Tried it for an issue on my BMW car. Was a very succinct and polite mail, as well.
