Before I throw in the towel and buy a new Packtalk for my wife, does anyone know of any repairs centres for these units?
Her's is refusing to go into Bluetooth mode, pair up with anything and won't get recognised by the computer to allow a update. I know the units are no longer supported.
I've done the reboot (a number of times) by pressing all three buttons, but still no joy.

If I have to replace hers then clearly I'm going to have to upgrade mine :augie which starts to make for an expensive upgrade!

Unless someone has an old (working) unit (only really need the device itself) they would like to sell? She doesn't use it a massive amount, so a bit of wear and tear isn't an issue

Cheers

When my packtalk bold's battery started going, I contacted the wholesale distributor for the UK

Pama & Co Ltd

https://www.pama.com/cardo/

Very helpful, but cannot replace battery. Got Cardo to give a sizeable discount code off a new one
I don't think are any servicable parts

Give them a ring and ask...based in Stockport

I sent both my packtalk edge units back to Pama when one of them stopped taking a charge (battery life crashed) last October. They suggested sending both units back and they replaced both batteries. Excellent service and delightful to deal with.

My Cardo units battery’s failed recently and Uber Micro Repairs were recommended as capable of replacing them, but in the event, they quoted £140 plus post. The batteries only cost £12 so I bought some and fitted them myself. Not that difficult a job if you have the right tools and are careful.
