Pain whilst riding

Only problem now seems to be a bit of pain/numbness in the right hand wrist, though hard to tell if this is from bike, mouse or a combination of the two!

Years ago, using a computer mouse was so painful that I had to learn to to use it left handed (not that hard TBH). A saw a chiropractor who checked out my right wrist and weak forearm muscles. But work on my neck and shoulders vastly improved the wrist problems. I had signs of a condition called TOS (Thoracic Outlet Syndrome), tight scalene muscles, caused by poor posture and some neck spinal issues.

I was so impressed that I eventually got the cash and time to train as a chiropractor. I guess that coming from a systems engineer background piqued my interest.

No doubt it's the fact that at least 3 days a week I'm typically sat in front of a computer screen for 8-10 hours....and if I'm not in front of the computer I'm in the car on my way somewhere. All good stuff for the posture! Plus I think ill fitting new gloves (too big) have slightly exacerbated it with the riding this weekend.
A quick google and mine looks to be something ulnar related....making working rather difficult today and I don't imagine two gigs in a row at the weekend on guitar will help either!

Wrist support worth it for short term help while i work out how to use mouse better??

The Ulnar nerve root is between C7 and T1 - bottom of neck just above the first rib. Getting your and that first rib adjusted will no doubt help a great deal. Such things often go along with pelvic alignment issues. Treat the person as a person (as opposed to a technical case to be solved) and things for very well.

I see a lot of people with this problem. You'll find exercise and posture correction will be 100% more effective if you add chiropractic.

The naysayers will be along soon to say I'm talking carp but give it a try. The NHS will offer pain killers and an exercise sheet or surgery.

Just been reading this thread , got a 1150 adventure and a sore arse. Anybody tried the Moto skiveez , got good write ups thought I might give that a go. Anybody tried this route.

Hi, Did you get some off these ? Have you tried them ?

.......can't fault mine as of yet (although servicing is a tad pricey, but I guess you get what you pay for).......

Keep well away from BMW main dealers whose motto should be "you get what you pay far too much for...."

A good-value independent is Steptoe of this very forum whose premises are in south London if that isn't too far for you to get to (he has a loaner bike if you need it.) He is well recommended by those on here who have used his services.

Everyone has an opinion on seats, this is mine

Airhawks are a quick fix, but not ideal, when correctly inflated add so little height as to be imperceptible. If they add height, they are almost certainly over inflated.

On the F800GS the stock seat was terrible, so I upgraded to the OEM comfort, marginally better, then I bought a used Corbin, very nice, all day comfort.

On the K1300S, stock seat OK, bought a used Sargent, more comfortable but firm.

On the MTS1200, stock seat OK, bought a used Sargent, more comfortable but firm

On the R1200GSA, Stock seat pretty good but bought a Corbin, now like an armchair.
