Paint chipped off frame

Best not look at the feet of the centre stand.
You know, the feet that come into contact with the ground everytime you put the bike on the main stand.

Unless you carry and use the bmw 1200wc centre stand carpet patch

Available 1st quarter 2014 from Wunderlich. At the moment I have to pay one of the fork and spoon operators to lie there with his hand underneath it.

Damned inconvenient.

DrRich,

Don't you know it is absolutely verboten to criticize BMW for selling you a 15k bike and then have the audacity to expect a bike
that has a painted frame that does not chip or scuff. Didn't you know that you are supposed to spend another small fortune on various
"protectors" to cover bits that are obviously going to get damaged if you don't.

You will also need a Mudsling or similar because BMW are too mean to include one as standard.

Your not supposed to care about your pride and joy and you should not give a shit, just ride it and watch it rust away gracefully.

Stick around and let yourself be browbeaten into believing that these are all BMW GS "characteristics"

oh no

I expect there are many many bikes with this "problem" and the owners can be divided into two seperate camps.

1) Those who's hair has fallen out with worry.
2) And those who don't give a shite.

Oh no I must nip out to the garage and check mine now, I cant believe theres yet another issue with the WC for me to worry about, :blast

on second thoughts I assume this happens on pretty much every bike out there is this guy serious :nenau

Only takes a minute to unscrew it - one can then polish and buff to a high sheen at one's leisure while drinking a cup of tea - far more civilised than grovelling on the floor like one of the great unwashed don't you know.

But laying on the floor makes you feel "Adventurous"... :P

DrRich;3613014.. 3. if you're lying on the garage floor polishing the bash guard it looks unsightly:bounce1[/QUOTE said:
Now when I went to school that sentence would have meant that one would look unsightly whilst lying on the floor polishing said bash guard. Is that what you meant?
