Im about to overhaul the rear brake system on an 2001 ABSII 1150GS.
Wondering if anyone can recomend a paint for the caliper body. I was thinking alon the lines of Hammerite black satin finish, but would welcome suggestions from any who have painted theres.

You should get away with any paint, provided you don't apply it too thickly.
There is paint available for brake calipers. You should be able to get it from a motor factors or Demon Tweeks.

Could try this

Hi Paul
I have not painted my calipers in the past but polished them with this http://www.stovax.com/products.htm?cid=7&sid=22&pid=491
Not exactly made for the job but the finish is very good and long lasting
may need a few coats to start with but then it's just once a year job.
The polish has a very strong black dye in it, that covers over any makes
in the original caliper finish.
But the Brembo / BMW Logos polish back as they were
if you know what I mean.
Thought it might be a option for you to think about :thumb
