Many years ago
My friend Roy developed cateracts in both eyes at the age of 25.
I drove him from Newcastle (Co. Down) to Belfast and, with him in the passenger seat, asked him to tell me when he could see the vehicles in front as we caught up with them.
On approaching the rear of a large lorry, he tole me about 10 metres before it that he could see it.
He owned a black Ford Fiesta. Covered in dents for obvious reasons. Yes he was still driving!
He informed me of one of life's great trueisms.
"Dents don't cost anything! It's taking them out costs money."
