Hello,

Today not going well :(

By just cleaning off some Bird Shite from the plastic I've realised I've picked up something abraisive by mistake to do it and left some crazed scratches on the plastic painted body panel.. :blast

Any advice on how (or even if...) I can make good would be really appreciated..

Thanks in advance.

Pic would help. What colour is it?

Try polish first (something like Autoglym) and then proper wax (like Collinite). Works on lighter colours but if it's dark or metallic you'll need another strategy if this isn't enough.

Thanks Mr Badger.. it's a dark grey metallic colour so might need the other strategy too?

Will see if I can get a picture sorted.

Thanks,

Hi gr8roberto

Get some of this, use clean soft cloths! its a mild rubbing compound. Then use some wax polish (silicone free polish) :rob

STOOOOOOOOPPPPPPP!!!!!!

Farecla???????!!!!!

You'd be as well using a Brillo pad!

Go to a local bodyshop and ask for a wee drop of '3M Finesse-it'

Put some on a cloth covered finger and rub in the direction of the scratches. Gently repeat over and over till you get satisfactory results.

It is possibly the biggest saviour of paint marks EVER! And it is so mild that if you have a CD with a mark it'll do that too.

Lugs,

'3M Finesse-it' has filling properties that will yes! fill the scratches so guess what??? There is a chance the scraches will come back after a few washes.

saying that, agree '3M Finesse-it' is a good product :thumb2
