I know these big 43 litre tanks come in pre coloured plastic black/red/white i think, and they are also made in nylon. Does anyone know for sure if the plastic ones can be painted ? I am looking to buy a black plastic tank of one of the guys, but i would like to paint. or rather have it painted white and decal it up. I am just concerned it may not be possible, or if i do the first sniff of petrol will bring the paint off. Does the plastic breath, or is it just not possible to prime and paint plastic thats in contact with fuel?
Any help.cheers.

Anything is possible -

BUT as a rule paint & decals just don't work on plastic tanks. Solution tried include coating the interior of the tank, plastic paints etc.

Nylon tanks are the way to go
