Sorry if this isn't in the most appropriate forum, but I know this is where the font of all wisdom lives :)

Want to change the colour of my C3.
It's black at the moment, and in hot climates it is like wearing a pressure cooker on my head.
Fancy changing it to white, or some other radiation reflecting colour.

So can I paint it myself, or do I need an expert?
If so, any recommendations?

Can't afford to buy a new lid, and don't want a flash paint scheme, just something cooler in hot weather.

Cheers

Cover it in baking foil, this will reflect the heat very well, look like captain America as well!.

Ave you tried polishing your helmet?

the c3 can be painted with proffesional car repair paint eg 2 k or waterbased products are recomended by schuberth ......you're adviced not to sand below the original paintjob if you try to repair scratches......and remove all little fittings and pads ....... do not heat extensively and don't use acidic cleaners .......

a trained professional will do it for you ..... and a lot of idiots could fucccc it up :rob

Paint it like a hell's angel does:

Obtain 5 litres matt black paint.
Remove lid of can and stir carefully.
Put bike on mainstand.
Place can beside footrest.
Don biking gear including helmet.
Climb on bike.
Lift can & pour over helmet
Paint should flow over face, clothing etc onto bike & dribble over most of it.
Job done.
Helmet, body, clothing & bike painted all in one go.

Myke

Hmmm,
Might investigate this further!!

Brittany holiday was great- thanks.
We didn't do a huge amount of riding, but plenty of eating, drinking and touristy stuff. Weather was fantastic.

Just planning this year's trip- I've got plenty of time off in Summer (mature student), but not much money (mature student!)- going to head towards Eastern Europe; Poland, Romania, Croatia. Might go via Norway, Sweden and Finland :)

Interesting, what are you studying?

Would be interesting to see what you cobble together :thumb2

Studying Occupational Therapy. Hope to work for the NHS when I qualify- if it still exists!!
Quite a change; I worked 'as' an electrical engineer for 25 years within industrial automation; so in 'orrible factories all the time.

Will post a more detailed route plan (and ask a load of questions) soon!!
