Pairing sequence?

Hi, I have a 2018 GSA and Garmin Nav 5 with Cardo Spirit intercom.
The nav works on the bike, but what is the best pairing sequence for helmet to bike, nav to bike (or helmet since the nav is already taking to the bike, etc) and what does correct operation look like?
Will calls come through the nav or bike, and can they be answered/ended, as well as music and the like?

Pair helmet to Nav6 first then phone to Nav 6 which will then feed route and phone both to your intercom.
