I am at my wits end!!!

I have a Panasonic NV-DS60 camcorder. I assume its analogue as it records onto Mini DV-s.

I did download the video onto the old PC via firewire, but plug it into the MacBook and it dont wanna know:nenau:nenau

I have googled "Panasonic NV-DS60 compatibility with MAC" with no real sure leads....

Now i would have expected the MacBook to have just read the device, seen it as a camcorder, then just opened up iMovie???

Do i need to get a newer camera (with a digital storage device) or can i make this 'beast' work? (btw, it does record very well!)

Sussed!

Being an older camcorder it doesnt automatically open the iMovie when connected, but if you click on Camera icon it see's the camera and downloads, doing it as we speak!

Mac strikes again...........

Glad you managed to work it out. Over the past 6 months I've climbed the same steep learning curve as you are on, but it is worth it. Once you've got the hang of it, it's fairly intuitive.
