Hi,
I'm considering a Panasonic Toughbook CF-52 because my laptop gave up on me after a trip in a Zega case.
The Toughbooks are supposed to be err... tough :blast
Anybody here with experiences, good or bad, with these things?
Cheers,
Michel

Had a Toughbook some years old - might have been a 31 or something.

It was bleeding slooooow and bleedin heavy. No idea what the newer ones are like.

Can't speak for the 52 but I buy the CF19s for use in an operational environment. They are what they say - I've not had any breakages yet (out of 70 bought)

If the 52 is as tough then you won't have a problem.

All us Gas board engineers use them. They are fantastic.
I cant recall the amount of times mine has been hurled from the van seat into the footwell, or dropped onto the pavement, and its never broken.
I use it up on its edge to support heavy washing machines.
its a CF18 ..I think.

The CF-52 is a semi-rugged one.

So not as tough as the ones you are talking about.
But then I'm not planning on using it to support washing machines :eek
I'll be happy is it stays alive travelling with me on bike trips.
