Pannier frame bracket - left fits but right doesn’t?

I bought a BMW OEM Pannier rack system for my 2016 1200 GS. Left side goes on simply, right side bracket to the footrest appears to be too small and won’t fit between exhaust bracket and footpeg bracket.
Seems odd, only thing I can think of is a slight change in the 2016 August builds. Motorworks show a different spec option from Sept 2016 onwards, but curiously the left fits plumb. Anyone seen this before?

Is this the frame for the aluminium panniers? If so, then you need to either upgrade rear foot rests to GSA ones, or remove them. The left side fits with the frame, but not with panniers on. The right doesn't fit at all, as you've found out.

GSA pillion pegs are different than the Vario style pegs on your bike. I just removed the pegs and used shorter bolts

Thanks for the info, glad it wasn’t me losing my mind. I will look for some GSA footpegs- still need them for my better half.
