Pannier frame plastic insert removal?

Hi collective, I’m going to get the pannier frames powder coated satin black. Has anyone removed the plastic inserts where the panniers latch into? They seem pretty stuck in there
Any tips appreciated

once I put my glasses on I could see it was a teeny weeny torx fook me I need to go to spec savers
But given the frames a lick of satin black and I like it so will now get them powder coated

Did you paint them in situ, or take them off? I’m tempted to paint mine to match the front panel.
