Pannier Inner Bags

For Standard 1200GS BMW panniers and top box. - I can see the advantage of the inner bags but are they worth the 100 pounds each ! They seem very expensive. Are there any alternatives ??

Mane event. Used them on the 1150's panniers and I'd guess you won't loose as much space as with the BM ones. www.maneevent.org.uk IIRC.

I use Marks and Spencer Cool bags. They fit perfectly and do the job really well!! They're I think four quid each, sometimes M&S give them away free if you buy three bits of something or other.

Might not suit if you're concerned about the fashion police checking inside your panniers though..

I always use bin bags - £100 buys a lot of them. Can be used for other things as well when touring. Also more efficient for packing than heavier bags.

Similar to Gr8roberto, I use "Boots" brand coolbags. The colours are dayglo blue and green so they look a bit gay, but they fit perfectly, are top loading and zip closed to become waterproof. They also have a shoulder strap for carrying to/from the hotel room/tent/wherever. Again they were a few quid each rather than the rip-off £100 GS versions.

They do exactly what you'd expect. I use them for commuting around 7+ months of the year.
