Try Mane Event.

Mine were £59 delivered, have a quality feel and are an excellent fit. I've not seen the BM ones to compare but I can't imagine they'd do the job any better.

I have just started my own company distributing pannier liners specifically for the GS.

They are black plasticised and will retail at £10 plus p+p a pair.

They are totally waterproof when knotted at the top, especially useful on those trips abroad when your socks are minging.

The bags can be embossed with your own name (in crayon) for £5 extra. They come standard marked up with 'Wyre Borough Council'.

Please order via the following website link:

Used to do the Ghost Rider2 thing, got fed up having to carry mucky Panniers into B&Bs or Hotels.........

pannier bags

Does anyone have any experience of the Journey Design bags featured in the Oct. 2003 Club Journal?
The review reads well and they are available in a colours other than black with blue piping (thats all i've ever seen the mane event ones in)
They also do an expandable version for the large lid version of the system case.
Can't seem to find a website but i've emailed them for more info.
but surely someone must have some already eh?

sherpa,

I believe the person that owns the Company has moved back to North America due to her Husbands re-location........

I was asked, before I resigned as Regalia Sec. in October, by a National Committee Member of the BWM Club if I would be willing to act as agent for 'Journey Designs' in my role as Regalia Sec.

In Principal I had no problems with it as it wouldn't have involved carrying Stock, merely a Middle Man.......it didn't come to anything before I resigned so I don't know if the idea is going ahead....

I had never seen the Product but had read the reports within the Journal so could see no good reason not to agree............

I did feel however, it may have been a bit unfair seeing as how the Journal was taking money from Mane Event at the same time.

I don't know if the Kit tested was "Loaned" to the persons carrying out the review or bought by them, draw your own conclusions.......

That said, I am no longer the Regalia Sec. so couldn't give a Flying F..k anymore, all I know is that Mane Event kit does what it says on the Tin!! and at the right Money.........;)

When they are locked away in the Case you can't tell what colour the Piping is........:D

Liners

If you're talking about the Adv panniers, get down to your local Alpine Sports shop ( Ski shop to all you numpties! ) and find a couple of cheap Ski Boot Bags.

Mine cost just over a tenner each, are a perfect fit and have carrying straps etc.

Hope that helps!

Cheers, Rick.
