pannier pipe extensions ... what effect do they have?

There you go.............

pick the fecking bones out of that then.Let the bullsh1t about exhausts stop here shall we.

Bet you don't know what it is either :D

PS yes I did make it all myself, and no,you wouldn't have wanted the bill.

In fact,I think that deserves it's own thread.Feckin work of art that is

Well.. I didn't think it was a "Quickfit" job, that's for sure... :) Nice use of space.. I ain't never seen turbos fitted there before... don't tell us what it is.. let's see if anyone can suss it.. :thumb
So do we have a good (bike) Dyno opperator in Worcester or not?

Lee's in Ledbury are the best people for banging engines around here(1150 with loose valve locknuts, not pretty)

Seeing as you're a Worcester boy, and skilled in all things aluminium and mechanical.. can I guess that it's Cosworth related? Race car?

There's no doubt Vern knows what he's talking about.

And i do believe that an extension will make a difference....but how much really... surely less than you changing your end can (thats if you haven't put a pipe with a smaller inside diameter)

Is it not a bit like sticking a bigger screen on a bike we know in theory it is likely slowing the bike down but we don't notice it.

I think I get lumpier running when cold with the extension on although that improves as it warms up. There's also a bit of vibration in the bars at tickover that wasn't there before. Then again, I need a valve clearance check and throttle body balancing so there might be part of the solution there. And tickover seems a bit slow so I'll look at that too. There was a definite "before and after" effect when I fitted the extension though.

I don't really notice a difference in power because I rarely push it hard enough for that to matter :D .

I couldn't have put it better...

Yup I concur with that.... just come back from a quick weekend blast around France/Belgium with an extension piece.. oo err missus.... and noticed feck all difference... mind you I have the sensitivity a Rhinoceros so... perhaps I’m no judge. :)

Hmm, must be a lucky coincidence that the exhaust on my car just reaches the back bumber then
