Pannier Repair - Help ???

Dogder , which pannier lid do you need as I have a spare top for the earlier BMW pannier as bought by mistake .
Let me know which one or I can send a picture , its at work so cant do it now.

Basically the fix involves laying the pannier on its side in the bench, putting a car jack at the front, insulated by some wood, and re-educating the shape.

Then once it’s almost sorted, using a dead blow hammer (hammer with lead shot to stop recoil and ’enhance’ the impact) gently applying some force to the front corner.

Written like a true expert!

Thanks for all of your contributions. I found a chap locally, Pete, a good Geordie lad now in Camberley. He runs 'Welders Inc' and has fixed it. I have to collect it tonight. He has done Welding and Fab all over the world on Oil Rigs the lot so I am very confident / hopeful. I'll do a final update tomorrow and the close the thread.

Hi everyone,

Thanks for bringing out the best in UKGSers. My chap in Camberley did a great job and the water seal is back in tact! (Welders Inc) I'll closet thread now but thanks again to everyone
