Pannier wrapping

At last found a company that seems to be on the ball.
Just ordered a full set from these guys and will let you know what they look like. Mike Anstey helped out but the cost of GBP 340 was a bit too much.

Stickers just arrived. Absolutely useless!!!!!!🤬🤬🤬
Came in 1 large rolll with one giant sticker per pannier making it impossible to line up. Also the glue on the stickers was useless and the measurements were not accurate so there were a lot of “lips”
After 3 hours I couldn’t even get the top box done and the whole lot went in the bin. Waste of of Fekkin money and I advise you to avoid these like the plague…

I also had ordered some from Aliwank and they arrived a few weeks ago. Looked OK so I took them out and finished the Job. Much better and I only paid €30 for a set

The Italian ones were absolutely crap so as said stick well clear… no pun intended…

Indeed.
I spent € 150 on them. Next day the price had dropped to € 122. The whole thing was a sham so best to avoid.
Just sent them an email and will give them a poor write up as well.

The Aliwank ones are fine. A bit strange as in one decal the world map is a mirror so inverted. You can see that in one of the photos
At the end of the day I just want a covering for both protection and to break up all the ´´black´´

Also bought some pannier liners. I have always found the inside of the Aluminum boxes a bit bare and everything just rattled around. Started putting an old soft cooler in the top box but that took up too much space. Found a set on Aliexpress for €28 including shipping. Not a lot of dosh so nothing to lose. If they are crap they go in the bin. Arrived today and actually they are well made, padded and fit very well with Velcro sticky pads to put in place. Pretty decent firm quality. In my mind pretty decent piece of kit…..

I think they are meant to stay in the pannier, not be taken out like traditional pannier bags?

correct, they are ´´stuck´´ to the inside of the panniers with velcro and are not meant to be removed. If you use inner bags for your panniers then these would be your preferred option. I tend to use my panniers for all sorts of crap and my clothes go into a roll bag. The padding liner is then perfect. Also I tried them WITH my pannier bags and actually they slide in a lot more easily with the padded liner and there is no lost space.

So we’ll need bigger panniers …
That’ll give the moaners summit else to chatter about. :D
actually no....but I agree with your second point... :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:
The liners actually fit perfectly under the ´´lip´´ of the panniers edge rims fitting snuggly and perfectly into the pannier. They are about 5mm thick so take up no room whatsoever but provide that bit of padding which I think is perfect...

Apologies for digging up an old thread.....

these look pretty good - the ones i find on Ali tend to be the "1-sticker for all sides of the pannier" - which i thought (and you confirmed) looked a nightmare to get properly aligned!

these ones in 'parts' seem a lot easier to DIY fit

can i ask - were these the type you install 'wet' using a mist bottle of water and washing liquid - then you can move them around and squeegee them out when they are in the right place - or did you have just align the best you could and stick them?

also - how are the bearing up now? a few months on - are they peeling or still well stuck?

thanks
g

The ones I fitted in the photos were pretty cheap. I dont seem to be able to find them again but the big things is exactly as you state, they came in sections so were really easy to apply.
I dont use the ''wet'' method but prefer the masking tape and ''half / half'' approach.
They are fine and although cheap will do until something better comes along. I really just want the stickers to break up the black a bit and as scuff protection.....
