Panniers for 2016/17 GSA

I have just put a deposit on a December 2016?gsa and I will need to source panniers for the bike. My question is which ones fit this bike and can the gs vario style also fit.

Alloy panniers fit the GSA as standard. If you want to fit plastic vario panniers then you will need to fit the mounting hangers and compatible rear footrests from a GS bike. There is a set of alloy panniers for sale in the for sale section of this site. The bloke does however want a kings ransom for them, but he says they are new ( they aren’t).

A caution... not all will fit. Only panniers designed for the WC variant GSA will fit. Those designed for the previous generations of air cooled GSA (pre 2014 I think), will not fit a 2016 GSA.

If you have the GSA Pannier Rails, consider the Bumot Xtremadas soft panniers, they make a set that go straight into the stock GSA rails.

I’ve got a set and they are superb.
