They suit the bike perfectly, especially the right hand one !

They are panniers not fashion accessories!! As long as they hold a bit of clutter for the trip back from the shops, they are OK with me:thumby:

FFS for the nancy northener :-) Stahl = Steel Koffer = Case. Oh yeah and they are alluminium :D ;)

Well exactly, a metal box! No need for the poncy stamping in top n side!

I wonder how they fare in a crash. Usually the pannier frame gives a bit in an accident to prevent the subframe bending. Bolted directly to the bike, I would guess that any fall will transmit directly through the rear rack and subframe.

The embossed "STAHLKOFFER" is only an option. If the customer does not want the name on the panniers then we don't do it. This is agreed when they are ordered. Hope that sorts out the confusion.

I think the name looks great, really classy and well done...........very professional

Sorry if I offended you , but Bernt has made a different version of the Ali pannier , and as a vario user , his panniers have made me look again at the Ali ones , ps , my mum was a cockney , we all have our skeletons ........:beerjug::bounce1

Good point. As a result of feedback received (and our experience) we have now decided to make a frame to support the panniers and prevent the subframe bending in a collision.
Consequently the panniers are now also quick-release and will fit other frames we have made so far.
