Panniers

I would only put the original bags on a GS if for the only reason that they use the same key that came with the bike !
Aluminum or Varios but I prefer the aluminum ones because they are slightly bigger and top loading...Soft bags are only good if you actually ride and fall in the dirt...otherwise useless:D

That is why I find them interesting :D
 
As usual , Boxerlust is talking utterly bollox.
I can fit much more in my Bumot Xtremada panniers than their Defenders, even though the Xtremadas are 4 litres smaller in total capacity, due to the flexible sides swallowing uneven shapes much more easily.
Imagine you shove in a pair of shoes .Gaps are left in the ally panniers but the sides mould to the shoes shape in the soft panniers when they are getting full.

Can't comment on the soft versions but the Bumot hard panniers are excellent, just about bombproof. Easily the best made I've seen.
