The Papal tour of Scotland commences this year on the 21st, after Il Papa's successful jaunt to Monaco and back last year...

He's decided to slum it this year by utiliising Arseys new Honda Africa Twin as Papal transport....

Anyway the route is currently: East Sussex - Clapham (Yorkshire Dales) - Balmaha (Loch Lomond) - Lochboisdale (South Uist) - Leverburgh - Carbost (Skye) - Craignure (Isle of Mull) - Hardraw (Yorkshire Dales) - Home

Pictures of debauchery, drunkeness, and blokes having a right laugh will be uploaded as we progress around the route, assuming the already decimated ferry timetable behaves itself...

We might bump into as we leave on the 19th. Just look for the most heavily laden GSA you have ever seen :).

Nutty, You'll be pleased know a few of us have hi-Vis air vests...:thumb

Thank goodness! At least you'll be safe, and visible.:P

Has Martin had POLITE printed on his yet?:D

I can't find enough stuff to fill a 40L roll bag, top box and a 4L tank bag..... What HAVE you got in your panniers????

Not a huge amount,so if someone breaks down those of us taking panniers can group together and will be able to accommodate someone elses kit rather than abandon them in the Outer Hebrides. There's no "I" in TEAM !!

No, but there is a U in C$NT though.....

Anyway I don't remember us "accommodating" much of Marks stuff when his Ducati broke down and we all fucked off under Top Gear rules last year...

So far we've been blessed with the weather.... Bar a good soaking in the Snake Pass and a quick 5 minute shower on the M74 we've been dry! Hallelujah....

We did a fantastic loop around the Lake District yesterday which was absolutely spectacular. Some of the traffic was slightly uncooperative letting us past but it would appear the the sound pressure waves from my newly fitted Denali Soundbomb is
effective at making the "suggestion" more effectively

Currently resident at the Balmaha bunkhouse on the east side of Loch Lomond which is absolutely beautiful, clean, comfy and great value at £20 a night.

Making our way up to Mallaig today for the ferry to Lochboisdale, via the Trossachs, Glencoe, Fort William and Spean bridge.

More later if they have internet on the Islands....

When you get weather like that and it's before the crowds of the summer arrive, it's a very hard area to beat. Looks good :thumb2
