Hi All
A pal of mine organises this event every year, this year it’s open to bikes of all years.
The pumping station will be in steam each day. It really is an amazing location. There is a cafe on site, bikes to look at….what’s not to like.
I’m taking a few of my airheads along, hence special Airhed parking.lol.

Papplewick pumping station is holding a motorcycle day on the 25th and 26th August. The event is open to all motorcycles from any era. Anyone wishing to display their bike should contact [email protected] for an entry form which must be completed prior to the event.
Pre registered bikes will have free entry for the rider on both days. There is also a turn up and pay option; this will be charged at £5.00 for the rider. In both cases pillions will be charged at the normal entry fee.
Bikes that are registered can be left in secure storage on site on the evening of the 25th August, please make a note on your entry form if you want to park your bike over night.
Upon entry please park your bike in the spaces marked by decade for your bike; A 1996 bike will be parked in the 90s spaces etc.
BMW Airheads will have a dedicated space at the top of the drive. Please look out for the sign.

Would of liked to have gone to this, but will be on holiday

I looks like it’s free entry for the rider and pillion. Entry form attached.
I am assured that it is open to all bikes regardless of age.

What a lovely meeting, really enjoyed seeing the bikes and talking with owners, faces old and new.
Great to see the pumping station in action with a bimble home through the Vale of Belvoir.
Thanks for posting details here Colin.

Thanks for the heads up for this event Colin.
Its only about 20 miles from me. I knew nothing of this place. Amazing, and impressive are not good enough descriptions. The buildings are works of art. Built with pride and style. The engineering is unbeleivably accessable. There were local old hands there to ask or have a natter to.
If you didnt go to this event you missed out.

I will go again for sure.
Loved every bit of it.
Thanks again

I believe bikes got in for free on the Monday. I was going on elsewhere so went in the car but at least I have a 12 month ticket.

I live nearby so have been a few times over the years. I must book the underground lake tour one day.

Big thanks to Tetley for posting.

Here he is with the four bikes he displayed. 👏

Lovely event, first time visit for me and was really impressed with the turnout and the event as a whole. Weather helped of course. The airhead parking was a bonus. Thanks for the heads up
