Paralever Coil

How do you remove the plug leads from the coil on a paralever GS the plug leads on mine rotate freely in the sockets at the coil end but won't pull out. There seems to be a spark OK but they just don't feel right they are very old and for the cost of new ones I will replace them, but I can't remember how they come out of the coil.
I am sure on the old type there is a scew in the coil socket and the plug lead screws onto it
Can anyone enlighten me?

Try using a bit of lube if it's stiff.

Pull back the cover and squirt some WD40 in there.
