Washing the 100GS today, I freewheeled it down to the wash bay and noticed a soft clunk from the rear end as the wheel turned. Giving the rear wheel rim a scrub, it was more difficult than I remember to turn the wheel. Now it might be my poor washing regime (bike!)/ memory or it might just be the angles the drive has to go through when the bike is on the centre stand that's causing it. I checked the brake of course and that's fine. Thoughts please gentlemen?

If the transmission oil is cold (and certainly in colder/winter weather) then there will be more resistance. Take it for a spin and get it warm then try again, you should feel a difference.
