i ruined a scooter once, long ago in my yoof, by painting it in similar colours. i think that pic brought on a flashback.

wow dosnt time fly

i had intended for it to be done within a month but as you may have guessed its not:comfort
things are moving in the right direction. The frame and other parts are back from powder coating and pretty happy with the finish. Ive had lots of aliuminuim bits cleaned via a local vapour blast company and they look like new (barrels ,carbs ,bevel box ,swing arm ,front cover ).
heads are still at scrimger and ive not phoned them to chase em up as ive not had the money to pay for it:blast get paid wedensday so ill chase them up.
ive only had to drill out 2 bolts and they were in the right fork leg for the brace and the wing mirror was also not moving either.
started to paint the fork legs but the poxy spray can splutted and dribbled a load of watery paint the stopped so will have to rub down the runs. shame cuz it was sunny and i had the spray booth to myself:D and what better way to spend your birthday spaying yokes and forks listerning to man u beat liverpool in the sun:D:D
ALMOST FORGOT a big thank you to PIPEY for repairing my headers and giving me one of his loverly handmade Y pipes to test out. ill post some pics soon

started with a better breakfast:D but it was still the afternoon before i went outside. yesterday i forgot to mention i went out to machine mart looking for a nice base unit tool chest thing but nothing was reduced , except for a nice litle air compressor from £129 to £92inc vat:thumb. also got set of airtools and piston ring compessors.
got the yokes , forks and front wheel in. didnt put much effort it must be said into the cleaning of said wheel as theyre a pain in the arse to clean. i am thinking of possibley rebuilding my spare set with painted hubs new spokes nipples ect and either anodized or powder coated rims(anyone done this ? advise?).
ive gone through the wiring loom and found a couple of repairs needed but the rest is good. the fairing headlamp and clocks have been put in the storage area as these with definatly NOT be going back on same goes for the indicators
the shoe box size box from motorbins came and the contents cost £250  doesnt go far does it.
the sump is back on and i will rebuild the motor mostly on the bench to save my back:thumb. heads should be here midweek

If you keep having brekkys like that you'll have to budget for a suspension upgrade :D :D

Oh and that Yamaha will want a seat on it if you are planning long trips :D :D

Phuket gets mentioned in my shed regularly, especially when things go wrong :blast :augie :D
