Good to see her back on the road fraid i cant comment on the colour scheme because my mind has been poisoned by by my bikes beautiful pink (carica blue or whatever bvm call it) and black isnt the motorsport stripe almost horizontal when its off the main stand.

it is quite level but not same as side paneland thought its a bit wierdyes totally agree fairing panel needs a little something. some sort of GS or "especial" or tosser need to look for appropiate sticker as ive now got time to find one



forgot to mention gearbox started making orrible noises about 20 miles after this pic was taken
its one of the only parts ive not touch as it was fine before, now 5th gear and 4 gear make a terrible screatching noise dissapears when change down to 3rd and it doesnt do it all the time.
so im incedibilly pissed of as this was the last thing i had planned for
anyone got a good gearbox for sale????

Nice work!!

Personally I would take the stripe off the side of the tank and run it down the centre like the mudguard and front of the bike. Personally I don't think the tank shape looks right with a strip straight across it.

Great to see it finished, this has been a great thread/rebuild and weve all had a bit of fun. the colour scheme is always a difficult choice but hey, if you like it, thats all that counts. pity about the gearbox but at least with these old airheads its not the biggest job in the world to get it out and fix it.

Looks great to me!

I'd love to do an airhead up with that colour scheme. I've been mostly looking at the R1100S Boxer Cup for inspiration (like a mate has) but there's actually a lot more blue on there than I always remember.

Give me some time to get the old Tenere up and running and we'll compare notes!

Seems that white is the new silver. Coming down the motorway on monday we were surprised to see so many white cars, I mean really white, all white, especially Audi's, beemers and 4x4 's.

Propper twat suit but DILLIGAF @£40 and its the most waterproof bike gear I have ever had and by the looks of the weather this weekend it will probably be in use again
