Hi all

Thinking about dusting off the 1993 GS which has been SORN'd for a couple of years whilst indulging myself with other pleasures. The loom has seen better days and I suspect is the cause of an intermittent electrical problem.

Whilst new looms are generally not that expensive for BMWs, a new loom for this model is over £500 from BMW or the usual suspects!!!!!

Does anyone have a cost-effective source tucked up their sleeve of do I just knuckle down and re-make it myself? I don't really want to do this as I have too many projects on the go already.

Cheers

Sean

I make my own looms now the prices for new ones are so expensive, but like you I'm stuck for time. At least the airheads are easy to do.

Some wiring looms are much cheaper. Main wiring loom ( R80GS / R100GS para 88-91) was £151. As they end in the switch connectors on the front rhs of the frame I don't think there is really any difference but others here will confirm or otherwise
