I need to send some Bike stuff to Southern Ireland, Eire

about 16 kgs

but it would be a big box 80cm x 60cm x 60cm

two plastic mud guards, handlebars, side panels and some metal bits

The volumetric weight calculations go off the scale with UK Parcelforce and the web site says it too big etc., - I could break the stuff into 3 lots but then they get expensive

Has anyone any ideas to help

Cheers

Where in Ireland are they going Bill?

Drop me a PM if you wish and we'll see what can be done. :)

...and Aidan,
drop me a P.M if a central Dublin drop off / storage / pick up point is any use :)

Thanks Marc, that might very well be needed. Depends on whether or not it suits Bill and his buyer. :)
yer Welcome Aidan. :)

to all,
this option is always there if it's needed - am just 'lucky' due to my job and location. ;)

Try www.interparcel.com It's not cheap but they will take a box that size and weight. We use them regularly and they offer a great service. If you create an account before you use them you will also get a 5% discount.

They collect from your house too.

I used City Link couriers recently to send 2 of the BMW touring panniers accross the water. They charged me €35 2 day road service which I thought was an excellent price given the size.
They do collections from in UK to Ireland so might be worth a shout.

"Just to give people a guide price for parcels from the UK to Ireland, i have put together the following

Up to 10kgs; €36
11-15kgs; €41
16-20kgs; €50
21-25kgs; €58

The above prices cover 90% of the UK and delivery covers all of Ireland - no exceptions.

If you need a quote for out of gauge parcels or if you have something which is larger than 25kgs but still not big enough to class as a pallet, please give me a shout and i will get you sorted with a good rate on it."

Thanks

Aye - I have an office within spitting distance of the Port Tunnel entrance (city side) if anything needs dropping off to be collected at a later stage.

Interesting. DPD are doing me for €60 for a collection in the UK

I'm delivering from Cork to Dublin each day this week if something needs to be brought either way.
