So why is Paris is s great city yet London isn't?

Cut from a parallel thread, so as not to detract from the trip report.

Don’t the pictures show on your screen?

I guess, as you avoid London (or have perhaps never been) you’ve missed - by accident or design - all the sites and sights that millions of tourists (like yourself) enjoy photographing and then sharing.

Oh no, wait a minute…. They all got it wrong.

Enjoy your holiday.

I have been and find London dirty and much more overcrowded than Paris. Plus in Paris the people seem much more friendly. They actually speak to others, as in saying good morning or hello. Unlike the Londoners. The weather is usually better too.

Paris is more densely crowded than London.

More rain falls on Paris than London in a year.

Carry on.

Well...bits of London are shit, so are bits of Paris (and Leeds, Dublin, Vancouver, Melbourne and most other cities) bits of London are wonderful...as are bits of Paris (and Leeds,.......)

You do seem to have a problem with me not liking London, why is that? I don’t like Bradford so I don’t go there. I don’t like Aberdeen really and guess what? I don’t go there either. Just because you think London is fantastic doesn’t mean the rest of us should see it that way.
Bye the way it’s 24-25°c here in Paris today. Lovely temperature. Still 23°c now at 21.00.

Edit; there are no southerners too. Double bonus.

Nice for a week now. Another city I like. A swim in the sea, calamari and shrimp for dinner and washed down with a couple of Campari spritz.

It’s funny to think that it snows quite regularly in winter in Provence. Hard to imagine when the mercury can sit north of 30 degrees for weeks on end.
