Every manual I have read says that new plugs are correctly gapped out of the box so just fit and forget.
However, when some new plugs arrived from Motorworks for my pre USA trip service (mebbe, mebbe not), I thought I’d kill a few idle minutes by measuring the gaps;
Plug 1
0.80 mm
0.80 mm
Plug 2
0.80 mm (tight)
0.85 mm
I suppose 0.05 mm is nowt in the grand scheme of things but does anyone here actually know the specified gap / tolerance or should I be setting off on a quest against the teutonic forces of mystery and dark arts to slay the dragon of ignorance (cos I’m Shielding and aren’t allowed out
).
