Would anyone recommend to park in: 'Parking Amiens St Leu Cathédrale - EFFIA' for a few hours or somewhere more suitable?

We plan to visit Amiens on the way to Montreuil (as recommended LES HAUTS DE MONTREUIL)

Park anywhere you think suitable and which suits your visit to the city.

All you’ll get here, if you are lucky, is “I parked in XYZ and my bike wan’t nicked”. That is down to the pound of butter in their fridge.

PS It looks marvellously suitable:

PPS Many here would rather walk across hot coals, than visit any city or substantial town.

As recommended on here?
Excellent choice. I believe I did recommend this place in the thread of nice places to stay within 30 miles of Calais.
Have stayed there several times and will be back in a few weeks with another forum rider. Hotel is comfortable and if you advise them you have a bike they will give you your own private garage with key and all. Can take 3-4 bikes. It’s a Logis place with the “Table Distinguee” rating for food which is top nosh but not cheap. Their top menu is €58 if I recall.
Another trip planned in November with the Missus and car. Saturday is market day in the town. One of my favourite stopover. Enjoy!
Another absolute cracker is the Relais de la Voie Sacree. Located in a tiny hamlet - 4 houses - about 15 km south of Verdun. Rooms are small but new and the restaurant and breakfast outstanding. Also a top rated Logis dining experience. Top menu is €62 but for me it’s even a cut above the rest and really great. Breakfasts is a real treat as well

Incorporating our Montreuil visit with this one in November

If they still do the laser light show at the Cathedral at 9pm it’s worth a look.
Thanks for the tip but unfortunately we can’t stay that long. Incidentally Chartres cathedral also has a laser show which lasts an hour and is really captivating. I was there in June

Thank you. I’ve been told Amiens cathedral is a must see and not to be missed

We went to Amiens a couple of years ago for the Christmas Market. Cathedral light show was inexplicably cancelled, which was disappointing, but the city centre was good. Had a cracking meal with Gardet Champagne I've been looking for ever since.

We went in the car rather than on the bike, but was alarmed to have a note from the hotel to say some dodgy looking characters had been paying a lot of attention to the car in the hotel car park. They agreed we could park it right next to the door. Based on that, and some other comments from the hotel staff on some of the locals*, I'd say secure parking for overnights is a must and some decent security for the day might be useful too.

*The anti-migrant chaps on this site can't hold a candle to the Hotel staff we spoke to!
