Does anyone know of good free bike parking in the center of Nottingham?

Thanks
Terry

If you let 1150's in then you get oil stains.

Keep it for 1200's, much better

couple of years ago I parked free opposite hein gericke
I remember that I looked online and found loads of free bike parking

Any car parking bay on city centre streets (not car parks) is free for bikes. Nottingham Council said that they could not police pay and display as someone could remove your ticket from the bike. Therefore, it's all free on the street.

If you want a covered car park, you could try Fletchergate as they have a special bike section. It's not free see the link in Angus's post above.

Up by the castle there is some bike parking with bars to lock your bike to.

There is loads of on street parking around the Lace Market area too.

I thought Broad Marsh was free for bikes. It certainly use to be, but I've not used it for a few years.

The tight-fisted bar-stewards that are Nottingham City Council are now charging employees to park in their own staff car parks.

Have a look at the link attached - coming to a city near you soon.

What's particularly bad is that if you wish to mix your methods of transport, e.g. car, cycle, motorcycle to work, there's no way of splitting the charge, so they'll just charge you for the entire year. I'm glad I don't work in Nottingham anymore.

It's also so short sighted. How many businesses will be turned away from the area because of this. Grrrrrrr.
