Part number for F650 GS Dakar

Hello, guy

While I was changing my fork seals, I figured out that this part is missing of my left fork. I have browsed the chain gang, I looked in several catalogs regarding that part. No success Could you help me to get the part number?

I'm presuming you mean some of the fork internals and not the hole in the side of the fork? Have a look on Realoem, it should give you part numbers.

I have looked exactly there, but the part placed there is a spring.

Ii have a set of dakar uppers that have those parts (the lowers have already gone to someone else) I think the part you are missing is number 2 on that list. I'll drag the forks out tomorrow and snap a pic for you, to confirm it's the correct part. If it is you can have it for the cost of postage. No point in you spending money when i can send it your way for nothing seeing as the forks are sat doing nothing.

I did not mention, but I am planing to do general maintaince of my forks. They are leaking again. After further investigations I have learned that there is a common failure of the forks for F650 GS 2001-2003. The photo is from forum post that which I have found. Check it here.

I decided to:

• Replace the fork sliders (just in case)
• Replace the seals
• To install fork gaiters
• To fix the missing damper rod stopper
