Just a quick note I've noticed some parts selling on ebay for more money than they are new like R1100GS hand guards only £24 new for the full kit fetching over £30 on ebay secondhand. R1100GS injector/throttle body covers £3 new, last set on ebay £18 secondhand.
So always check before buying second hand.

Everybody assumes that BMW parts are expensive and without checking at the dealer first for a quote or through one of the established BMW breaker part shops, they assume anything on ebay must be cheaper and a bargain at that.

Bidding on ebay is a form of gambling where you know it is only worth so much but, if many punters are bidding, you know you got to carry on because if they want it bad, so must you.

Done it myself on bits, trying to wait until the last few seconds to try and jump in with a higher bid price knowing I should be in bed.

Hi

This was the first thing that I noticed when i moved over to a BMW about 8 years ago, cant say that i ever experienced over paying for ebay items for other bikes.
Its a BMW owner thing don't know what that says !!!!!!!!!!

Also don't assume that the dealers are more expensive.
