Hi all.
So i have my new GS and its perfect - nearly...
Coming from a massive harley the wife is having mega trouble getting on/off he bike. I have fitted her the sargent backrest (see other post) but the footpegs are too small for her.
To get on/off she needs to spin her foot whilst doing so. On the Harley we have large footboards and i am looking for something similar - see pics of some old ones i just fitted to give an idea.
I cannot use harley ones as the are too narrow in the clevis and dropping the original ones 40mm didnt work either as i tried the footpeg relocation kit (Chinese for now to see if it was any good)- it wasnt.

Any ideas will be greatfully received.. :nenau

How big are her feet ???

Personally i feel that if she cant spin her foot enough on a GS peg she cant do it on anything

My wife gets on my GS 1st using the riders footpegs, then shuffles back onto the pillion seat and I then get on after so you could try that if you're flexible enough/have long enough legs?

Her feet are not big but she has trouble twisting her ankle due to surgery.
She is also kicking the s*** out of the top of the panniers - are there any tips to cover them ?

Yes get Bumot extremadas

Pity they dont do vario protectors but thanks for looking.

Vario is easy, 3M velcro power heavy duty strips, cheep beech mat cut to shape, and you have protection, 1 long strip in wind direction so mat does not lift and smaller peaces other areas gives good cheep protection.
