My wife needs a dead simple app to store passwords - and I mean simple. No syncing, auto-generating, FB integrating or other feature enriching enhancements. Don't mind paying a couple of quid

Any personal recommendations?

A bit old-school but works fine:

Can't see how a none sync/iCloud app would be any better than storing them in notes and password protect the phone?
Link notes to iCloud then there saved. Anything stored on one device is liable to be lost.

Sent from my iPhone whilst driving and even with autocorrect I can't spell!

iPIN Lite

IPIN lite works well for me... Its free and you can log in to it by drawing a patern. I store passwords in the text fields of the password and dont bother with the fancy log in...

i use 1Password

dunno if it fits your requirements, but it's generally regarded as the best of it's kind.

the mac version is probably my most used app after safari, mail and itunes :thumb2

+1

I use 1Pasword on my iphone and 2 macs and it keeps everything in sync.
Also, it fills out logins, passwords, credit card numbers, address details, etc. with just a click or two.

It's quite simple to use and you don't have to use the sync features.

Weal let, nice thing is that there is a desktop version as well

Worth every penny works well for Windows, ipad, iPhone, mac and various browsers.

I have iPhones, iPads, Macbooks and windows pc's. Do I have to buy different versions of ipassword for for the macs IOS 6's and windows 7?

My understanding is the licences are platform specific, so the mac licence once perchased will allow you to use it across multiple macs, you would require another licence for windows and additional ones for ipad and iPhone.
There is an excellent FAQ on the web site and a fully working 30 day trial to give it a go. My advice is try it on the platform that you use the most and if you like it you will probably want it on everything if funds allow. I understand there are free alternatives but I've not tried them so cannot comment.
