I've recently started using Firefox and find it a great improvement over IE but I'm having trouble getting it to remember passwords. Therefore I have to log on each time I visit this and other sites I use frequently.Any thoughts?
Thanks,
Tony

have a look under tools - options ,click the privacy tab in the left hand pane and click on saved password

ensure the "remember passwords" checkbox is checked, then click on "view saved passwords", under the "passwords never saved tab" remove any sites you wish firefox to remember the passwords for (it may be empty)

hope this helps

Thanks for the suggestion,I'd tried that yesterday but it didn't seem to work.
However I have just realised that the passwords are getting deleted when I hit "Clear private data" is there any way of protecting them then?
Thanks,
Tony

If this site doesn't log you on if you departed last time without logging off, you probably have Cookies disabled.

Yep..there are many 'password manangers' out there..I believe that if you click the Tools>Extensions you'll find several for Firefox...never tried one meself though so I can't rercoment any.
