I may be doing a deal soon where I end up with a 1990 R100GS PD ith knackered big end bearings. I've not seen the bike but am assured that it's in a reasonable condition with the exception of one tyre that's perished.

The current owners original plan was to sell it to Motorworks where it will be broken. I'd rather see someone put another motor in it & keep it on the road. Gearbox was rebuilt 2 years ago and is possibly an import? He mentioned that he's put 40,000 miles on it in 5 years on a new speedo, prior to that, it had covered about 24,000km (15,000m?) = approx 55,000 miles in total?

If I end up with it as part of a larger deal, is anyone interested in it? I hope to have pics soon.

Paralever? You? :nenau

He was singing the praises of Basics last week: only a matter of time me thinks :augie :D

Obviously needs a few more counterweights for his grandfather clock, couldn't possibly be interested in a highly dangerous 'lesser' paralever for any bike duties :augie

BOLLOX the lot of yer:spitfire :thedummy
It's for MONK, my mate
I don't mind getting paralevers for FRIENDS:augie

Besides you can put a Monolever swinging arm in, ask Civil:D

I really want a PD Possu. I'm very interested if your deal comes off. I've got a low mileage crank for one in my spares :thumb2

MMMMM You liked Shapeshifters THAT much ehh?????:rob :augie

It was very nice. I've had a Paralever before and unlike some :augie don't have a problem with them :D

I can't believe Robs bikes had so many owners since it arrived in the UK :nenau Not one of them cottoned on to what was wrong with it. What a lovely bike

I nearly had him hooked with my R100 - he was wavering :D

Not particularly clean, especially around the swingarm etc. I think it's been run low on oil, current owner says bike has no oil leaks? He offered to start it up but said it was very noisy, I declined due to mechanical sympathy on my part. Bike was in constant use until about 10 days ago.

Trying to do a deal with the owner buying my DRZ. I'm not sure what to ask for it if I get it - I've been advised that £1,000 is about right - any thoughts? If I get it, I should have it by the end of the week.
