Hi,
Does anyone else have difficulty to to download the PDM60 dashboard on a MacBook? I finally managed to download it by going around the privacy and security (not supported by App Store) but it will not read my PDM60, plugging it in will make the lights flashing but it wont do anything else!
Cheers

I use my Mac for previously this job. But I have to admit, I also use Parallels.... so I'm effectively using a PC... it works perfectly.

Not much help i suspect. Not sure if the PDM60 software supports Mac?

My Mac worked perfectly.

One of the things you must do is disconnect the PDM from the battery before plugging in to the computer. Otherwise, the dashboard won't recognise the PDM and you won't be able to find the correct port.

Useful to know

And yes, good point. You need to disconnect it from the battery first! Maybe this'll help the OP

Thanks guys

Thanks,
I have disconnected from the battery and took all the steps, I am going to a friend tonight who has a pc to change a couple of setting on it and will keep you updated....it looks like my Mac wont even read the softwear!
Cheers

To be fair, since I updated my Mac to the latest OS, I now find my version won't load.

You need to install the Java Developer Kit from Oracle as the app works within Java and not natively on the Mac. I think that the makers of the PDM60 may need to updated their software or instructions.

I'm just off to have a little look to see if I can find anything more about it.

Right then.

You'll need to go here. I downloaded the first Mac OS one on the list.

Then you may or may not need to run the OSX Install command file? Not sure where I got that from but it's in my PDM60 folder.

Then, if you've downloaded the correct folder from PDM60.com, which isn't the big 'download' button but the link to Universal Dashboard. Download that then unzip and you'll see an app called PDM60Dashboard.jar Open that and your dashboard will open.

Good luck.

Parallels is the spawn of the devil
