Peak Design Wireless Charging Mounts

This works well, charges anything and is bomb proof. Doesn’t take big phones though - the Ulefone I use as a back up to the 710 for off-road just about fits.

Also, my Quadlock wireless mount seems to work on my KTM 1290 SAR, via the din socket.

I must admit I don’t use it much but it does work. Whats the problem with them they made folk move to Peal designs

That’s what surprises me, too.

My iPhone 15 initially shows that it is charging well. Then it reports ‘slow charging’, which is odd as the Peak Design charging head is a Qi2 head. It should belt it out.

I am going to try it next via an SAE feed. But, I can’t do that until I get home.

I’m also going to contact Peak Design, to see what they have to say.

I solved the problem.

Peak Design replied to my bleat, simply telling me that the wireless charger was more than capable of charging a modern iPhone. Seeing no reason to disbelieve them, I battled on….. Then the light came on…..

I remembered that when I put the power up front on my Himalayan, I had run the USB-C lead, through a step-down ‘box thing’, making it suitable to run a phone. I had used this to power the wireless charger. A schoolboy error. The SAE lead that I also installed has no step-down. I picked up Peak Design SAE to the Peak Design wireless charger lead….. Bingo! All is well.

The Peak Design wireless charger has kept my iPhone, running MyRoute’s Navigation app, at 100% all day.
