Peak District big Bike Green Lane ride.

Just got back and sat down with an espresso. I'm clean again but the steed will have to wait until tomorrow. What a cracking day out, I right properly enjoyed that again. It's good to catch up with familiar faces and lanes, and always good to meet some new ones of each.

It seemed like almost everyone had a go at leading/choosing lanes today except me, thanks to you all and I promise I'll learn my way around eventually. And many thanks to Ian for the well timed jerrycan of petrol.
A damn fine day out. :thumb:thumb2:thumb:thumb2

Hear, hear to that! :clap:clap Cracking weather, good company, some excitement:augie and some good lanes. Unlike you I religiously cleaned bike first (seemed to be some grass in unusual places) so I'm only just attending to my personal needs . . . . shoulder seems a bit painful-can't think why!

Popped my cherry...

Well, what a day. Haven't been this knackered since my Rugby days...but what a bloody great time I had thanks. Weather couldn't have been better too.

Frosty up in Sheffield when I set off with some trepidation..arrived at the Cafe only to see "proper" bikes and no obvious first timers! Oh fekk:eek:

Not to worry as Skygod took me and Ian out for some basic advice and instruction. With Mick taking up the rear (ooooerrr missus!) the rest of the day was a blur of giggles, laffing out loud ( instinctively I may add).. and many involuntary sphincter moments...Cow Shit Lane was "cool" but no one warned me about Cow Shit and Stagnant Piss Pond either side of a gate.!

I used muscles today that I forgot I had and even had my first drop..down a slippery grassy lane just at the end of the "morning" session. By then I was shattered and called it a day at Moneyash where I left the party and got home just in time to clean the GS, shower, hoover, set up the ironing board and lay out a load of ironing I did last week...all just before SWMBO got in from work. :augie

Big thanks to everyone for their help, patience and welcome :bow

Cracking day thanks :clap:clap
