Have you left it outside with a clear view of the sky for at least 20 minutes ?
It needs to get it's first fix then should be ok from then.

Ah yes. Very good point. I was thinking of getting one of these , so I would be very grateful if you wouldnt mind pming me or posting on here with your experiences plus if you can some piccies too, would be ever so helpful too.Anyone got one of these? Belfast ... Paris I always thought the northern accent was different
Are you sure it has GPS software installed?
It seems the American version has no software, and the UK version has evaluation software only. You might not have any maps installed.

You're right, as I discovered retrospectively. Oh well, I'll call this one a learning experience. Now I have to learn how to download and apply software. This is a long term project, as I don't even understand the jargon.
