Anyone know if the beach is open or shut to motor vehicales,I fancy a blast down the sand.

Did it about 6 year ago no problem.

Dont think theres any vehicular access allowed on the beach for the past few years now. I called for a drink in the pub on the sea front (next to the old beach access ramp) about a month ago seemed to be plenty of bikes calling there, quite a few people on the beach, but no cars/bikes on the sand.

Went there on my XR650 and asked about riding on the beach and the council have banned it on the public side TOPGEAR use the eastern military side where the Hercs play.

Sorry, but it's been closed for a couple of years now on safety grounds. :(

Apparently, some clowns had been driving around dangerously among the crowds that used to gather there.

The beach is massive (about 5 miles long IIRC) but the majority of it is restricted by the MoD testing establishment.

Shut

I went down there shortly after I started this thread,

The ramp has posts to stop cars so I went down on the beach for a blast anyway, there was a bloke in a tractor stopping anyone going along the beach so I had a play in the bit that was open to the public, kept away from the other people on the beach,A nice man from the council :ronnocame on the beach in his 4x4 and gave me a dressing down for being on there,he was extremly rude and i just carried on playing until the police came and told me off.:augie

The locals definately don't want any bikers down there, felt like that pub on american werewolf in london!!

I won't piss on Pendine sands if it was on fire.

the bloke from the council was an Englishman too!:pullface

Now that Pendine is back open to the public (school holidays and weekends) has anyone been down there on a bike? The reason for asking is that an article I read stated "No off-road vehicles, such as quad bikes, will be permitted on the sands." and my KTM Super Enduro is obviuosly off-road biased, so will I be stopped from getting on the sand?

And the other question is, can you go and play or are you supposed to drive slowly to a parking spot and leave the bike there?

Is there any update on this?
Sounds like it a bit of a 'bikes are the enemy' situation?

It was closed to any vehicles a week ago.
Good little museum to visit there tho, free entry too.Museum of speed,a few bikes in there to.
