I was in a Honda dealer today, they had a couple of african twins with a few 100 miles on the clock, but were part exchanged for new ones, as the deal was so good:- free luggage, 0% pcp, and contribution of quite a bit and something else chucked in, they sold loads of twins and people were part x ing there few month old ones for the new deal.
Got my Rallye Sport from Vines in Guildford. World apart from the pain I endured with the Ducati dealers before that. Two Ducati dealers couldn’t find the issue that kept the traction control kicking in randomly when making progress, took it to Steve Jordan in Bookham and he diagnosed the issue and ordered a replacement sensor in 15 minutes.
Vines have been really good all the way through, and in comparison to Ducati Pete the Salesman, Darren the parts guy and Rob the Technican are the professional standard I would expect for a top end bike dealer.

Quite amazing what £70 per month will buy you nowadays....
So in this picture, I was out riding all day and it cost me £ 2.30 in rent (the price of a Sandwich) includes finance credit charges, asset depreciation and warranty. Honda even threw in the scenery for free !!
Now that, is a good deal.

The DCT vs manual figures are approx 50/50 with some areas having stronger DCT sales. It's been very successful.

Don't know about 320 mile tank range, I get 280 and in my opinion that's far better than the 180 I used to get from both my GS and my Explorer.
It means going out for a short ride I don't have to fill up and on a longer ride I only have to fill up once, definitely a bonus in my book.

Hindsight is always 20:20.
If that deal had been about when I got my GSA it might have been enough to sway me back to the world or chain drive.
After going shaft drive 6 years ago I swore I would never go back but £70 a month less might be worth the hassle of cleaning and adjusting the chain.
Come on BMW, similar deal on the horizon..?

That depends on what your intention is.
It comes with a 4000 mile per year restriction if you intend to just hand the bike back after 3 years with no cost penalty relating to excess mileage.
However, even if thats the case, you can still exceed the mileage at an extra cost of £0.06 per mile. Thats calculated at the end of 3 years and 12,000 miles total. You then pay the difference.
If you don't intend to hand the bike back, and just pay it off anyways. Do what you like.

Yes but they are flexible. The higher the miles you stipulate the more you pay per month or on your deposit.
Mine only comes with 4k per year, I typically do 10k per year and I don't worry about it in the slightest.
This is my third bike PcP and each time I have at least doubled the miles and each time there has been a deal to do where it hasn't hit me financially.
If at the end no one is willing to do a deal I will just pay for the bike and keep it.

I'm more than glad I bought the AT when they came out. Almost 10k miles now and once the switches were sorted and the stupid heated grips working more like they should (they're still not as good as Oxfords and too expensive), it's been all trouble free miles. Ultimately, nothing kept the bike off the road waiting on a dealer fix. Best of all, there's no future worries nagging me....it's all unbridled joy.

Each to their own n'all but I don't really get the AT. As a serious off-road/on road bike fine, it's been said they're easier to manage than a GS. But like the GS, nearly every one won't see dirt, in which case it drops into Ducati Scrambler/BMW R9T niche territory for me and the GS murders AT as a distance/touring/pillion sofa machine. I found it very like the XR to ride - comfortable riding position but way to vibey for mile munching. At least the XR is a missile but the AT doesn't have it for me.
However....you just can't deny the value! Compared to a new high-spec GS (and anyone who buys a standard bike will weep when they come to re-sell) you could buy one AT for the road and polish it every week and a good used example with nobbly's and crash it every weekend off-road without worrying too much! They're a good buy, if it's your bag.
Wouldn't mind a view on what they're like as a green laning machine if anyone goes in the mud with one??

You are comparing it to the wrong GS if you think of it being comparable to a Boxer GS
