Petrol smell

All,

I keep getting a whiff of petrol when my bike is parked overnight and I go to hop on it the next morning. Nothing dripping on the floor or any visible misting anywhere but I can smell petrol when the filler cap is fully closed too,

Any advice?

If you have the quick connect fuel lines like the 1150GSA I would check them I had one that had cracked not enough to leak but you could smell the fuel.

Yes, nothing to worry about, as long as it's only a faint smell. The heat from the engine will be enough to cause some fumes.
I've removed the inner plastic ring to enable easier filling, this probably has something to do with it. Haven't noticed for awhile though probably 'cos it's be so flipping cold up here.
